Every veteran's journey is different. While Veteran Insights highlights common themes and lessons learned, Spotlight Stories takes a closer look at individual experiences shared by veterans who have navigated the VA disability claims process.
These stories are summarized and presented anonymously to protect privacy while preserving valuable lessons learned. Some stories focus on documentation, evidence gathering, C&P exams, or appeals. Others highlight challenges, setbacks, and breakthroughs along the way.
The goal is simple:
Preserve what veterans have learned so future veterans can learn from it too.
Finding Forgotten Evidence
Sometimes the most valuable evidence isn't something new. It's something you already have but forgot existed.
Spotlight Stories are based on anonymous submissions to the Veteran Journey Project and publicly shared veteran experiences. To protect privacy, identifying information is removed, and stories may be summarized for clarity while preserving the original meaning.
